What can I expect the process to look like?

THE COMMISSION PROCESS1. SUBMIT YOUR REQUESTFill out the commission request form with the details of what you would like, including your reference photo(s) and preferred size. I will email you with a quote and we can discuss any questions or special requests you may have.2. CONFIRM & PAY DEPOSITOnce you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll email you an invoice for a 50% deposit (or payment in full if preferred), payable by card or payment link.3. I PAINT YOUR ARTWORK Once the deposit is received, I will begin your painting and complete it within a 1–2 week time frame.4. REVIEW & APPROVE I will send you a photo of the finished painting to review and approve. Any adjustments can be made if needed.5. FINAL PAYMENTOnce you’re happy with the painting, I will send an invoice for the final payment (if applicable).6. DRY, VARNISH & SHIPOnce the painting is dry and varnished, I will carefully package your artwork and ship it out to you!Oil paint needs time to fully dry, so after your approval I will wait another week for the painting to dry and be varnished before packaging.TOTAL COMPLETION TIME IS AROUND 3–4 WEEKSShipping time is additional and depends on your location.

Choosing a photo

Clear, well-lit photos will allow me to capture the most detail, but I’m also happy to work from lower-quality or older photos. Just bear in mind the finished painting may have less detail depending on the reference.I will usually create a simple, plain background, but if you would like me to include the background from your photo or have a particular background colour in mind, just let me know.Not sure which photo to choose? Send a few options with your commission request and I’ll be happy to help you choose the best one.
